MTN8 Semi-Final Second-Leg
Teams: Wits v Platinum Stars
Date: 24 September 2013
Venue: Bidvest Stadium
Wits go into tonight's semi-final second-leg at home knowing that failing to score at least two goals will mean that Platinum Stars will be in the MTN8 final.
They will also have to make sure Platinum Stars don't score, after Dikwena's 4-2 win in the first-leg put them firmly in the driver's seat going into tonight's game.
Wits took the lead in the first-leg tie last month, only to see Stars score four goals in 20 minutes to take control of the tie.
A late goal from Getaneh Kebede gave the Students a glimmer of hope for tonight's second-leg, as the two away goals may end up being crucial.
This will be the third meeting in two months for these two clubs, as they also met in the opening PSL fixture of the season, where the game ended goalless.
Former Kaizer Chiefs defender, Zimbabwean international Onismor Bhasera, will finally make his Wits debut tonight.
This is how they line-up:
Wits: Moeneeb Josephs, Onismor Bhasera, Musa Bilankulu, Sipho Mngomezulu, Siyabonga Nhlapho, Matty Pattison, Tinashe Nengomasha, Sibusiso Vilakazi, Ryan Chapman, Papy Faty, Benjani Mwaruwari
Platinum Stars: Siyabonga Mpontshane, Vuyo Mere, Tshepo Gumede, Benson Mhlongo, Sibusiso Msomi, Issa Sarr, Robert Ng'ambi, Elias Ngwepe, Tintswalo Tshabalala, Patrick Malokase, Siphelele Mthembu
