Teams: Sundowns v Chiefs
Date: 12 February 2013
Venue: Loftus Stadium
All eyes will be on Loftus Stadium on Tuesday night as league leaders Kaizer Chiefs look to continue their title push against a resurgent Mamelodi Sundowns.
Chiefs went into the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations break at the top of the table, leading defending champions Orlando Pirates by just a single point.
Sundowns, on the other hand, were showing improved form after a disastrous start to their season, which eventually saw Johan Neeskens replaced by Pitso Mosimane.
The Brazilians have moved up to 10th place, after being on the foot of the table at one point, and a victory could shoot them into the top eight.
Chiefs coach, Stuart Baxter, will be hoping to halt the Sundowns revival for now though and with a number of his players having been involved in AFCON, he will hope that they are still sharp and ready for action.
Amakhosi had seven representatives in the AFCON squad, namely Itumeleng Khune, Siboniso Gaxa, Tsepo Masilela, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Bernard Parker and Lehlohonolo Majoro.
This is how they line up:
Sundowns: Wayne Sandilands, Tebogo Langerman, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Alje Schut, Method Mwanjali, Tsholofelo Modise, Elias Pelembe, Jabulani Shongwe, Esrom Nyandoro, Katlego Mphela, Nyasha Mushekwi.
Chiefs: Itumeleng Khune, Tsepo Masilela, Siboniso Gaxa, Erick Mathoho, Junaid Mashamaite, Siphiwe Tshabalala, George Lebese, Josta Dladla, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Lehlohonolo Majoro, Bernard Parker.
