Absa Premiership: Polokwane City vs. Maritzburg United
Date: 9 April 2014
Time: 19:30
Venue: Old Peter Mokaba Stadium
Polokwane City will host Maritzburg United in an Absa Premiership fixture at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday.
The Polokwane side are desperate for points in their bid to avoid relegation to the National First Division and a three pointer against an in-form Maritzburg United will be much needed.
The Limpopo side will be missing Vukile Mngqibisa who picked up a fourth yellow card and an automatic suspension after being booked in City's 2-1 win away at University of Pretoria last Saturday.
The win over AmaTuks moved City out of the relegation zone for the time being but they will also be without left-back Kabelo Lechaba, who is out with an ankle injury while they welcome back Maxwell Molala who returns from injury.
Maritzburg United come into the game on the back of a 1-0 win over bottom side Golden Arrows and coach Steve Komphela wants his side to climb up the league table after seemingly avoiding relegation.
Here's how they line-up:
Polokwane: Marumo, Mthimkula, Tshilo, Molekwane, Tema, Jembula, Moyana, Motsiane, Sibande, Mncwango, Tlolane
Maritzburg: Walters, Evans, Booysen M, Awal ,Matuka, Mkhize, Morton, Isaacks,Sarfo Gyamfi,Mandaza, Vilakazi
