Teams: Pirates v SuperSport
Date: 13 February 2013
Venue: Orlando Stadium
Orlando Pirates will be aiming to move to the top of the league table when they host SuperSport United at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday night.
Current leaders Kaizer Chiefs played out a goalless draw away to Mamelodi Sundowns in their opening game of 2013, opening the door for the defending champions.
Matsatsantsa will not make things easy for the Sea Robbers though, with Gavin Hunt hoping for an improved run in the second-half of the season.
Pirates got into a solid run before the break for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, having gone 10 games without a loss to move within a point of Chiefs.
SuperSport, on the other hand, became the draw specialists in the first-half of the season, having played out stalemates in 11 of their 16 games.
Hunt will be without playmaker George Maluleka while Pirates coach Roger De Sa admitted that he was boosted by his attacking options after the break.
This is how they line up:
Pirates: Senzo Meyiwa, Happy Jele, Thabo Matlaba, Lucky Lekgwathi, Siyabonga Sangweni, Andile Jali, Oupa Manyisa, Onyekachi Okonkwo, Sifiso Myeni, Daine Klate, Collins Mbesuma.
SuperSport: Ronwen Williams, Davis Nkausu, Mor Diouf, Bevan Fransman, Edwin Gyimah, Thabo September, Franklin Cale, Ashley Hartog, Pontsho Moloi, Bradley Grobler, Simba Sithole.
