Teams: Pirates v P Stars
Date: 28 September 2013
Venue: Moses Mabhida Stadium
Orland Pirates and Platinum Stars will battle it out for the first piece of major silverware this season when they take to the field in the MTN8 final on Saturday night.
The Sea Robbers booked their place in the showpiece match after an epic two-legged derby against rivals Kaizer Chiefs - where they won the first-leg away from home before drawing 1-1 at the Orlando Stadium.
Dikwena, on the other hand, saw off Wits in a high-scoring affair, with Stars winning their home tie 4-2 before beating the Clever Boys 2-1 at the Bidvest Stadium.
Pirates have had a packed schedule at the start of the season, with matches in the ABSA Premiership, CAF Champions League and MTN8.
They last won the domestic cup back in 2011 while Stars are currently on a seven-year drought, though they had a stellar campaign last season where they finished as league runners-up.
The Buccaneers were boosted with the news that midfielder Andile Jali was not facing a long-term injury, as was originally thought. Original team sheets had Jali on the bench but he has actually started the game, with Lehlogonolo Masalesa starting on the bench.
This is how they line up:
Pirates: Senzo Meyiwa, Rooi Mahamutsa, Happy Jele, Patrick Phungwayo, Siyabonga Sangweni, Andile Jali, Oupa Manyisa, Daine Klate, Tlou Segolela, Kermit Erasmus, Lennox Bacela.
P Stars: Siyabonga Mpontshane, Elias Ngwepe, Vuyo Mere, Tshepo Gumede, Benson Mhlongo, Robert Ng'ambi, Patrick Malokase, Issa Sarr, Tintswalo Tshabalala, Siphelele Mthembu, Sibusiso Msomi.
