Starting XI: P Stars v Maritzburg

Telkom Knockout Cup

Teams: Platinum Stars v Maritzburg United

Date: 6 October 2013

Venue: Moruleng Stadium

In today's Telkom Knockout Cup round of sixteen clash at the Moruleng Stadium, MTN8 champions Platinum Stars will take on Maritzburg United.

Dikwena have had a good start to the season, and have only suffered one defeat in all competitions, to Kaizer Chiefs in the league. They will hope to carry the momentum from last weekend's cup triumph into the Telkom Knockout Cup

The Team of Choice have struggled on the road this season, with two defeats and a draw in their three away games so far, and will be hoping their fortunes change in this cup clash.

In the past twelve meetings between these two clubs, all in the league, Stars have had the advantage, having won seven, compared to Maritzburg's two, while there have been three draws.

Last season Dikwena won both PSL encounters between the two, winning 2-0 at home, and 1-0 away.

Siphelele Mthembu, Platinum Stars' leading goalscorer this season, will not play today due to injury.

Kickoff is at 15h00.
