2013 AFCON Final
Teams: Nigeria v Burkina Faso
Date: 10 February
Venue: National Stadium
Nigeria or Burkina Faso will be crowned kings of Africa on Sunday night after they lock horns in the final of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have hit top form at the right time at the tournament, having eased their way into the final with a 4-1 win over third-placed Mali.
Burkina Faso, on the other hand, have defied all odds to reach the showpiece match for the first time in their history.
The Stallions knocked out one of the favourites in Ghana in the semi-finals - winning via a penalty shootout after a brilliant display throughout.
Nigeria will be hoping to lift the title for the third time, and will be relying on key players such as Chelsea duo Victor Moses and John Obi Mikel.
Burkina Faso received a boost ahead of the final with the news that in-form playmaker Jonathan Pitroipa was eligible for selection after his red card in the semi-final was rescinded.
Standard Bank Key Man: Victor Moses. The Chelsea attacker was a doubt coming into the game after picking up a knock in the semi-finals. He has been highly influential throughout the tournament and the Super Eagles will be hoping that he can turn on the style when it matters most.
