Maritzburg United host Platinum Stars at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Friday in an ABSA Premiership clash.

Maritzburg, who played to a goalless draw against Bloemfontein Celtic in Bloemfontein in their last match, have done relatively well at home this season.

They have picked up seven out of a possible twelve points at home, with two wins, a draw and a loss.

Dikwena have not won an away game this season in the league, having lost two and drawn two, but they come into this match, fresh from beating SuperSport United 3-0  at home in their last game.

Stars are currently fifth on the table with 13 points, while Maritzburg are seventh with 12 points. Both teams have played nine matches so far.

Stars have the better head-to-head history having claimed eight victories in the previous 14 matches between the two sides. The Team of Choice have won just three times, while there have been three draws.

The two clubs met earlier this season in the Telkom Knockout Cup, where Platinum Stars were 2-0 victors.
