International Friendly
Teams: Lesotho v Bafana
Date: 2 June 2013
Venue: Setsoto Stadium
Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund has made a number of changes to his side for their clash against Lesotho in a friendly on Sunday.
The Bafana tactician was struck with a number of injuries ahead of their run of games, with a number of key players having to miss out.
Igesund, therefore, said before their friendly that he would be out to try some different combinations ahead of crunch 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Central African Republic (CAR) and Ethiopia.
Some of the bigger changes for the game sees PSL Player of the Season Itumeleng Khune rested as Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands gets a chance in goal.
In midfield, Bafana will miss the hard-tackling Reneilwe Letsholonyane due to suspension, but it gives Oupa Manyisa a chance to prove his worth as he plays alongside Dean Furman.
Thuso Phala, who has had a sterling season with Platinum Stars, will also not be in the starting XI as he is suffering with a sore ankle.
Tlou Segolela, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Bernard Parker, Katlego Mashego will be the driving force in attack for South Africa on the day.
This is how they line up:
Lesotho: Kholuoe Phasumane, Thabo Maswalle, Bokang Mathoana, Noitheri Ntobo, Tlali Maple, Ralekoti Mokhaihane, Matlalepula Mofolo, THulo Ranchobe, Litsepe Marabe, Mabuti Potlaoame, Tsapo Lekhooman.
Bafana: Wayne Sandilands, Anele Ngcongca, Ricardo Nunes, Eric Mathoho, Thabo Nthethe, Tlou Segolela, Dean Furman, Oupa Manyisa, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Bernard Parker, Katlego Mashego.
