African Nations Championship
Teams: Burkina Faso v Zimbabwe
Date: 20 January 2014
Venue: Athlone Stadium
Burkina Faso and Zimbabwe meet in the last round of CHAN Group B, with both teams still having a chance at qualifying for the next round depending on what happens in the other fixture.
A Zimbabwean win would see them qualify no matter the other fixture’s result, and Ian Gorowa’s men will be looking for all three points.
They have been unfortunate in this tournament so far, having played well in their two previous fixtures, both goalless draws, but have struggled in front of goal.
Zimbabwe are yet to lose a match since Gorowa took charge of the Warriors, and will hope to maintain that record for as long as possible.
A draw however could also be enough for Zimbabwe to qualify for the quarter finals, if Uganda beat Morocco in the other game.
If Burkina Faso are able to win, they need Uganda to beat Morocco in the other game. They are on one point and currently are bottom of the group, having lost to Uganda and drawn against Morocco.
This is how they line-up:
Burkina Faso: Mohamed Kabore, Alassane Sango, Issa Gouo, Issoufou Dayo, M'bah Kone, Elisee To, Aboubacar Sidiki Traoré, Eric Traore, Valentin Zoungrana, Youssouf Kabore, Bassirou Ouedraogo
Zimbabwe: George Chigoya, Eric Chipeta, Hardlife Zvirekwi, Patson Jaure, Masimba Mambare, Charles Sibanda, Danny Phiri, Kudakwashe Mahachi, Peter Moyo, Donald Ngoma, Simba Nhivi Sithole
