Starting XI: Bafana v Zimbabwe

International Friendly

Teams: Bafana v Zimbabwe

Date: 10 September 2013

Venue: Orlando Stadium

Gordon Igesund has put out an almost entirely different team for Bafana Bafana's international friendly match against the Warriors of Zimbabwe on Tuesday.

Darren Keet gets the nod ahead of regular number one goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, as well as Wayne Sandilands of Mamelodi Sundowns.

Bernard Parker will remain in attack but will team up with Siphelele Mthembu of Platinum Stars.

After announcing the squad via Bafana's official Twitter account, it was also revealed that defender Thabo Nthethe failed to recover from a hamstring strain and would not form part of the squad.

Bafana come into the game fresh off of their disappointing elimination in qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup - despite winning their final qualifier 4-1 against Botswana.

All of the international-based players from the original squad for that game, other than Darren Keet, left to return to their clubs following the game against Botswana, as did the Orlando Pirates players who have a CAF Champions League game coming up at the weekend.
