Afcon 2013
Teams: South Africa V Morocco
Date: 27 January 2013
Venue: Moses Mabhida Stadium
Referee: Papa Gassama
Bafana Bafana will be looking for at least a draw in their match against Morocco as they aim to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Afcon.
After defeating Angola in their midweek fixture, the tournament hosts are on the brink of qualification, but will not be relaxing as defeat could also very easily see them making a premature exit from the tournament.
Coach Gordon Igesund has kept faith with the same starting XI which defeated Angola 2-0, meaning Tokelo Rantie has passed a fitness test and will partner Katlego Mphela up front.
There is also no recall for any of Thabo Matlaba, Kagisho 'KG' Dikgacoi, Reneilwe 'Yeye' Letsholonyane or Siphiwe Tshabalala.
Standard Bank Key Player: Dean Furman. After his man-of-the-match display against Angola, much of the same will be expected from the midfielder who currently plies his trade at Oldham Athletic in England’s League One.
Bafana starting XI: Itumeleng Khune, Anele Ngcongca, Bongani Khumalo, Siyabonga Sangweni, Tsepo Masilela, May Mahlangu, Dean Furman, Thuso Phala, Bernard Parker, Katlego Mphela, Tokelo Rantie.
