Starting XI: Aces v Pirates

Telkom Knockout

Teams: Aces v Pirates

Date: 8 October 2013

Venue: Mbombela Stadium

Orlando Pirates will hoping for goals to arrive as they travel to Mpumalanga Black Aces for their Telkom Knockout last 16 clash on Tuesday night.

The Sea Robbers are fresh off of their goalless stalemate with Esperance in the CAF Champions League semi-final first-leg, which they hosted at Orlando Stadium.

Pirates come into the game without having tasted a win in their last four outings. They have drawn with Al Ahly, Kaizer Chiefs and Esperance while they were also locked level with Platinum Stars in the MTN8 final where they went on to lose via a penalty shootout.

Aces, on the other hand, will be looking for a major boost to their morale as they have won just once so far this season - away to AmaZulu.

They managed a 1-1 draw against struggling Bloemfontein Celtic in their last outing and will have to do without the suspended Sandile Zuke for this outing.

Should Orlando Pirates triumph, they can look forward to a home game against Golden Arrows in the next round, while Aces would host Kaizer Chiefs if they manage to oust the Sea Robbers.

The Buccaneers remain without the injured Patrick Phungwayo as well as Sifiso Myeni.

This is how they line up:

Pirates: Senzo Meyiwa, Happy Jele, Thabo Matlaba, Rooi Mahamutsa, Siyabonga Sangweni, Andile Jali, Oupa Manyisa, Thandani Ntshumayelo, Tlou Segolela, Lennox Bacela, Daine Klate.

Aces: Bafana Nhlapo, Abel Mabaso, Eduardo Ferreira, Danleigh Borman, Ofentse Nato, Themba Zwane, Clifford Ngobeni, Zamuxolo Ngalo, Thabo Qalinge, Onyekachi Okonkwo, Mabhudi Khenyeza.
