Free State Stars won the Lesotho Prime Minister Charity Cup this past weekend, as part of the club’s preparations for the second round of the 2013/14 season.
It was revealed by Soccer-Laduma that the Bethlehem outfit had a trip to Lesotho, as Stars’ interim coach Themba Sithole and his assistant Kinnah Phiri prepare the team for the second round of the Absa Premiership fixtures.
Ea Lla Koto have a Free State derby lined up against Bloemfontein Celtic to resume their season on February 04.
“Free State Stars lifted the inaugural Lesotho Prime Minister Charity Cup on Sunday afternoon after outclassing Bantu FC 3-0 in the final at Maseru Setsoto Stadium. Enva Esterhuizen scored a brace whilst Moeketsi Sekola converted from the penalty spot as Stars proved too strong for the current Lesotho Premier League leaders,” the club’s official website revealed.
According to the club, the R25 000 won on Sunday will be donated to a charity of their choice in Lesotho.
