Free State Stars are said to be hoping for better luck this season, with the team’s main focus on winning a trophy.
Ea Lla Koto have showed promise in the past few seasons, although the technical team and players have nothing to show for their hard work.
The Bethlehem-based side have had a slow start this season, with some disappointing results, although signs are showing that the new signings are starting to understand how Steve Komphela wants them to play for the team.
The team’s 2-0 win over Maritzburg United and the 2-2 draw against Bloemfontein Celtic have brought back confidence within the Stars camp.
Stars lost some of their key players at the end of last season, with Zambian goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene, as well as Dove Wome, having been snapped up by Mamelodi Sundowns.
“The management of the club is looking for honours after many years with no luck,” a source close to the club revealed.
The club’s new signings Camaldine Abraw, Abdul Basit Adam and Mongezi Bobe are some of the players expected to contribute in the team’s attempt to deliver the goods for the club.
