Mahlasela’s Chiefs Move Opens Door For Starlet
Starlet On Mission To Reward Bloemfontein Celtic
Newly promoted Bloemfontein Celtic starlet, Neo Maema, is keen on making a name for himself at the top level of South African football, following the progress he has made in the development ranks.
Following his promotion from the Mangaung club’s MultiChoice Diski Challenge team, Maema was handed his official PSL debut by Celtic coach Veselin Jelusic during the side’s first match of 2018 against Golden Arrows at the weekend.
Speaking to the Siya crew, the starlet promised Celtic to repay the faith they showed in him for giving him a chance to launch his professional football career.
“It’s a privilege to be part of the Siwelele family. I would like to thank the chairman and management for this opportunity and I will reward them with hard work. The technical team have been so helpful in guiding me and taking the pressure away from me,” said the young attacking midfielder.
‘Khama', as the player is known in football circles, is seen as a replacement for former Celtic star Kabelo Mahlasela, who has left Mangaung to join Kaizer Chiefs during the current transfer window.
