Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Stanton ‘Stiga’ Fredericks has revealed the players who make his dream five-a-side team.
The former Bafana Bafana international, who was well travelled during his professional football career, officially hung up his boots after a stint at Bidvest Wits.
Fredericks plied his trade for Chiefs, Pirates, Grasshoppers in Switzerland, FK Moskau in Russia, SuperSport United and Pierikos in Greece.
Speaking to Sportnet, Stiga named his preferred players in his dream five-a-side team, which consists of players with whom he brushed shoulders with during his career.
“My best five-a-side team that I’ve played with, to start in goals, there is only one name, Emile Baron,” Fredericks told Sportnet.
“In defence, I am going to go with oldjohn Mabizela, he is possibly one of the best imports that South Africa ever had, a defender that has all the attributes,” he added.
