SuperSport United could well be eyeing up Bafana Bafana head coach Gordon Igesund as a Plan B should they not be able to land Platinum Stars man, Cavin Johnson.
Soccer-Laduma yesterday revealed that Dikwena had rejected Johnson’s resignation that he handed in to the club last week and that they expect him to be at pre-season training when they meet up later this month.
It was reported earlier in the year by Soccer-Laduma that SuperSport had earmarked Igesund, as well as Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter, as possible replacements for Gavin Hunt, although they would only pursue them if they left their respective jobs.
However, Igesund could well become available should Bafana fail to win their upcoming World Cup qualifiers, as SAFA may decide to find another man to lead the nation forward.
Also it is thought that, despite financial difficulties originally, Matsatsantsa could well talk to Ruud Krol once again as they attempt to come to some sort of possible agreement.
Meanwhile, it is also thought that the likes of Steve Komphela, Hristo Stoichkov and Steve Barker could still be in the running.
