Kaizer Chiefs take on Maritzburg United in an Absa Premiership encounter on Saturday night and Team of Choice Commercial Director, Younus Kadodia, revealed spirits are high in United’s camp.
Chiefs will be looking to get their season off and running by putting on a good display, after an uncertain start to the new season.
Meanwhile, Maritzburg will be more than up for the contest as the Team of Choice haven’t played a competitive fixture for over two weeks.
However, Ernst Middendorp’s charges are perhaps a little hamstrung by injuries with the likes of Delron Buckley, Mario Booysen and Nhlanhla Vilakazi all ruled out.
Some good news for Maritzburg is that new signing Ashley Hartog could make his competitive bow for the team.
Ahead of the match, Team of Choice Commercial Director, Younus Kadodia, revealed spirits are high in United’s camp.
He said, “There has been a buzz in the camp for the entire week. It’s not just because it’s a Chiefs game though. It’s because of the crazy calendar we’ve seen in the league this season. We mean you play one game and then you sit for two weeks. It makes it difficult to plan but now we’ve got the Chiefs game, I think even the guys on the fringes of the squad are keen to play a part.”
