While everything seemed to have been in place for the player to turn out for the Port Elizabeth outfit, things changed after adjustments to the technical team at the club.
The 25-year-old left the club to join Botswana side Security System FC on a two-year contract. The move also saw the player revert to his original position as a striker. He had been converted to defence at Cosmos, where he has been playing as a left-back.
“Former Jomo Cosmos player Thapelo Tlabakwe is doing well in the Botswana Premier League. He is now back to his old position as a striker where he excelled in the Varsity tournament,” confirmed the player’s representative Tebogo Ramasilo from Atlegang Sports.
Tlabakwe the scored two goals for the Botswana outfit as they beat Extension Gunners 2-0 on Wednesday.
