A former Orlando Pirates and Platinum Stars administrator has responded to reports that he has been arrested.

In responding to the damning allegations, Mbatha has taken to social media to refute the reports by confirming that he is at home and is safe.
“Football never sleeps. It has never dawned on me that moving from the Red Team to YangaSC would cause me so much antagonism. It is now evident that I have caused hurt and hatred in the Tanzanian football fraternity to the extent that “people” will risk it all to tarnish my name in pursuit of revenge. I am safe and sound, I am home, and I am looking forward to serving Timu ya Wanachi. Thank you Fellow citizens, we are together!” Mbatha shared on his official Facebook account.
