The awards will take place on January 7 at Citadel Azure in Hurghada, Egypt, where several South Africans will be waiting to find out if they’re a winner.

It’s not a new stage for Banyana Banyana, Desiree Ellis and Thembi Kgatlana, all of whom have won a CAF Award previously, and they’ll be hoping to do so again in a couple of months’ time.

While South Africa’s women are shining on the continent, Mamelodi Sundowns see the likes of Pitso Mosimane, Themba Zwane and Denis Onyango up for gongs, as well as their former star, Tau.
