Jomo Sono told a media gathering that his side are Gauteng Champions and will win Sunday's tournament.

 

Jomo Cosmos are struggling in the Absa Premiership, fighting for survival near the bottom of the standings, but Sono doesn't believe it's relevant.

 

The Cosmos boss is full of confidence that Ezenkosi can pull off a few upsets against fellow competitors Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United.

 

"We know the environment where we will be playing very well. Don't be fooled by the current Absa Premiership league log because in this tournament we are the champions," said Sono.

 

"We are Gauteng Champions and we will prove that in this tournament."
