There are up to three transfers that are almost definitely going to materialise at the end of the season, but how many more players are still being linked with moves?
Its been reported over the past few months that Mamelodi Sundowns are set to welcome at least two new additions to their squad for the new 2020/21 season, with both Jody February and Grant Margeman believed to have agreed deals in principle with the Chloorkop-based club.
Margeman is still on the books of Ajax Cape Town until the end of the season, being key in the Cape Town-based side’s fight for promotion back in to the top flight. Meanwhile, February is also in the GladAfrica Championship with Cape Umoya United until the end of the 2019/20 campaign.
If everything goes to plan, the duo will join up with Pitso Mosimane’s side after the end of the season.
Also in Gauteng, SuperSport United will welcome a new signing in Iqraam Rayners, after the attacker signed a pre-contract with Matsatsantsa back in January.
But who else is still being linked with transfers for the new season?
Bradley Grobler, Bonginkosi Ntuli, Justin Shonga, Zukile Kewuti and Moeketsi Makhanya are some names that are still being linked with transfers, even after the January window closed shut weeks ago.
Makhanya has been on the radar of Sundowns for quite some time now, with indications that the Brazilians are in pole position for his signature.
Grobler has been linked with both Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, while Ntuli is also still being eyed up by the Bucs and Kaizer Chiefs.
Wits are still believed to still be in for Kewuti, after a move failed to materialize in the past January window, meanwhile Shonga is still being tracked by overseas clubs.
However, football is unpredictable and it remains to be seen whether the respective clubs will look to pursue their interest in the aforementioned players come the end of the season.
