Polokwane City will face Platinum Stars at the Peter Mokaba Stadium tonight, and the Siya crew managed to trace the PSL rookies' coach, Boebie Solomons, who shared an update on his readiness for the encounter.
'Rise and Shine' dipped into the market during the January transfer window period, and managed to acquire the services of former Platinum Stars defender, Rofhiwa Tshikovhi.
Solomons revealed that his team has responded well to his instructions during the break, and is hoping to get a positive result.
“We’re ready for the game, we’ve done our preparations very well and my team is fit. We’re positive and I feel we’ve got a good squad to ensure we stay in the PSL. We’ve made good progress so far and I’m pleased with my troops’ response. I believe having one of their players here will help us a bit in getting to know their style, but it’s a disadvantage on the other hand because Tshikovhi will not play against Stars as he’s on loan.
“We played competitive games during the break although it was a long one. We played competitive friendlies against Pirates, Tuks and Wits, so we’ve prepared for the second round. We looked good in those games and the new recruits have showed me they’re ready to play and die for the team. The players are telling me they’re ready to get out there and play, I believe we can get a positive result as we start the second round,” added Mzala, as Solomons is known in football circles.
