Nigerian midfielder, Solomon Okpako, has completed his move to National First Division side, Santos.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns player has been expected to join Santos, as was revealed by the Siya crew in issue 885 of Soccer Laduma.
The 24-year-old has been training with the Mother City-based side in preparation of the 2014/15 season.
Okpako’s agent, Mohammed Lawal, confirmed to the Siya crew that the player, who was previously in the books of Chippa United, completed his move to Santos.
“He has signed for this season with an option for the next. He will be able to display his real talent. Santos have an ambition to get promoted. Let’s see how it works out,” said Lawal.
Santos coach, Farouk Abrahams, is working on helping the team to score goals in the next game and throughout the season.
The People’s Team opened the season with a 2-0 loss against FC Cape Town last weekend.
