Willard Katsande scored the only goal of the game to hand the Soweto giants a narrow win over the men from Limpopo on Wednesday evening.
However, the Italian tactician expressed his disappointment at his side's failure to kill off the game after creating numerous chances.
“We created a lot of chances. When you’re leading 1-0 [and] you have a chance to kill the game (you should score). We need more determination in the box. When you’re in the box we need to convert the chances,” Solinas told SuperSport after the game.
“Today we had a lot of chances but we scored only one goal. So we need to score more.
“I’m happy (with the clean sheet) because the team showed character. So solid. This is good but we need to score more goals. When we have the opportunity we need to score.
“Kaizer Chiefs plays to win the game. I knew this (was going to be) a difficult game for us. In the first half Black Leopards played very well but in the second half, we controlled the game. We had chances to score the second but we need more determination."
