Chiefs remain without a win in the Absa Premiership following their 1-1 draw with Baroka at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
The Soweto giants were involved in the MTN8 over the weekend while Bakgaga were inactive, which the Italians feels played role in the clash.
“In my opinion today Kaizer Chiefs played well. Yes at the end of the game [we were] a little bit fatigued,” Solinas told SuperSport after the match.
“Baroka had an advantage because they did not play on Saturday [weekend] and are fresh. My players are a little bit fatigued because we play every two days.
“We travel, no time for recovery not time for training but I’m happy because my players played well in my opinion. Yes we can convert some chances but this is the game.”
The Italian explained what he told his players after conceding an own goal in the first stanza.
“Play [with] confidence, play bravely. Don’t rush, continue to play football, continue to play quickly. We don’t have the problem, we played the first half very well,” he said.
Solinas also had time to explain his reasons behind the substitutions on the night.
“We needed fresh players, I changed [Gustavo] Paez because he was not in a good physical condition. The fitness of Paez is not top," he added.
“I changed [Siphiwe Tshabalala] Shabba towards the end because I needed a fresh player on the wing.
“I changed [Leonardo] Castro because he said to me “I’m exhausted please change me” so I put on [Ryan] Moon,” concluded the Italian.
