Sundowns & Wits Progress, Pirates Catching Up, Chiefs Slip Down

Kaizer Chiefs are slipping further down the African rankings, while Orlando Pirates moved closer to the top 20, this according to the ranking system on footballdatabase.com.

Chiefs recently made their exit from the CAF Confederation Cup competition after being eliminated by Zesco United.

On the other hand, Mamelodi Sundowns and Pirates continue to fly their South African flag high in the CAF Champions League, after both sides secured victories this weekend against Wydad Casablanca and Horoya AC respectively.

However, the big three will return to domestic action this week in the Absa Premiership and the Nedbank Cup competition, and Soccer Laduma takes a look at where the top four South African clubs in Africa are ranked on footballdatabase.com.

Sundowns have moved one spot from 13th to 12th place, while Chiefs have dropped from 18th to 20th and as a result, Pirates have dropped from 20th to 21st and Wits moving from 22nd to 19th place.
