Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits remain the top four South African clubs on the African rankings, with Sundowns leading the pack for quite some time now.

Sundowns and Pirates will be in action in the CAF Champions League this weekend, as they look to continue with their winning momentum in the group stages of the competition.
However, domestically, both Sundowns and Pirates were eliminated from the Nedbank Cup competition, with Chiefs and Wits having progressed through to the next round.
In the Absa Premiership, Wits are currently at the top of the league standings, with Pirates in at second, Sundowns at third and Chiefs at fifth.
However, on the continent, three of the aforementioned South African teams have some time before reaching the top 10 positions in Africa, while Sundowns are just one spot from making their way back there.
Sundowns are currently at 11th place, Chiefs at 18th, Pirates at 20th and Wits at 23rd, according to the ranking system on footballdatabase.com.
