Several players in the Premier Soccer League will see their contracts expire today, with their respective clubs yet to confirm a possible short-term extension.

Arguably the biggest talking point has been that of George Maluleka, whose deal with Kaizer Chiefs comes to an end today. The player put pen to paper on a pre-contract with Mamelodi Sundowns back in March this year, though the Brazilians are yet to announce the signing.
However, due to the extension of the 2019/20 campaign because of the COVID-19 pandemic, FIFA encouraged clubs to conclude the season with their original squad and conclude short-term deals for those players whose contracts expire today, June 30.
Chiefs today announced the release of Maluleka, who will not be completing the season at Naturena.
Meanwhile, Grant Margeman who was also heading to Sundowns after June 30, will be completing the season with Ajax Cape Town before officially making the move to the Brazilians at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.
In other news, Maritzburg United officially confirmed Siyanda Xulu’s departure, while the the club is yet to make announcements about other players in the team.
