Premier Soccer League chairman, Dr Irvin Khoza previously revealed that some free agents who had their clearances by January 31 this year, could be roped in by PSL clubs in order to complete the 2019/20 season.
In a previous press-conference by the league’s chairman, there were several concerns addressed by Dr Khoza, amongst which was the potentiality of clubs restarting the season without some of their key players owing to the possibility of some of them testing positive for COVID-19.

However, Dr Khoza revealed that should clubs be without as many of five players by the time football returns, they will be allowed to use players from their MultiChoice Diski Challenge set-up, while free agents, who received their clearances by and before January 31, could also be roped in to complete the season.
Arguably one of the biggest footballing names that is unattached to a club right now and is eligible is Siphiwe Tshabalala. The 35-year-old is yet to make a decision about his next football destination, as he’s been without a club since the end of the 2018/19 season.

Now it remains to be seen which clubs will look in to rope in some free agents to complete the season as new signings will only be registered once the transfer window.
