Rivaldo Coetzee made his return to Absa Premiership action this weekend, making his official league debut for Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 22-year-old faced more than a season out of action after he found it hard to come back from an underlying foot injury.
However, a season later, after signing for Sundowns during the 2017 July/August transfer window, Coetzee finally made his official debut for the first team.
The defender turned out for Sundowns during their CAF Champions League clash last week and put in an impressive 90-minutes of Absa Premiership action this weekend against SuperSport United.
According to the statistics, here’s how Coetzee performed in Sundowns’ 2-1 win over SuperSport United this weekend:
• 61 touches of the ball.
• He made 57 passes of which 51 were successful.
• Coetzee had a passing accuracy of 89%
• Won the ball 9 times
• Lost the ball 8 times
• Made 8 clearances
Coetzee seems well on his way to getting back to his best and it remains to be seen whether he will remain fit as Sundowns continue with their challenge in the Absa Premiership and the CAF Champions League.
