Norman Smith faces six weeks on the sidelines as yet again he battles with injury.
The Golden Arrows striker made his first start in the game against University of Pretoria last Sunday, which they eventually lost 2-0. Before that he had made only one substitute appearance because he had been out injured.
He previously told the Siya crew that he was looking forward to getting regular game time under his belt but he has now suffered a setback. To add to their woes, the Durban-based side has only scored three goals in the league so far.
Smith revealed, “I got an ankle injury in the game against Tuks and I will be out for six weeks. It’s a bit of a blow for me and the team but what can you do? Injuries are part of the game and I just have to deal with it and make sure I come back stronger.”
