Xulu’s Maritzburg Season Compared To His Stay With Chiefs
Siyanda Xulu's Maritzburg United Season Compared To His Stay With Kaizer Chiefs
Siyanda Xulu completed the move to Maritzburg United from Kaizer Chiefs at the beginning of the 2017/18 campaign where he secured more game-time under his belt than his entire time with the Soweto giants.
“It means a lot to reach the final, especially looking at how things didn’t look so promising for me coming here from two years of not enough game-time. Some would have thought that it was going to take me forever to get back on my feet,” Xulu said in Soccer Laduma’s preview of the upcoming Nedbank Cup final.
From playing just 903 minutes and making just 10 appearances in two seasons with Chiefs, the defender is now on his way to a cup final with The Team of Choice.
Since joining the club at the beginning of the season, Xulu has played 3217 minutes, making 37 appearances in all competitions for the club and has scored three goals.
There is no doubt that the player is revelling in the chance that he has been given by the KwaZulu-Natal-based club, with the 26-year-old just one game away from potentially lifting the 2018 Nedbank Cup trophy.
