Chiefs Title-Winner: Masilela Will Be Back

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Siya Nkosi, thinks that Tsepo Masilela will be back in Steve Komphela’s side soon after being dropped on Wednesday night.
The 31-year-old has been a regular in the Amakhosi line-up over the last three seasons, playing a vital role as they won two league titles under the tutelage of Stuart Baxter, and only tending to miss out when battling with an injury.
However, Komphela opted to leave Masilela on the bench against Highlands Park, giving Sbu Khumalo his debut as the Glamour Boys picked up their first win in seven games.
Nkosi, who played alongside the full-back at Naturena, has heaped praise on the former Getafe man, saying that he expects it to be only a matter of time before he is back in the side again.
Speaking to the Siya crew, the now TV pundit said, “Look, from Steve's perspective, like any other coach when things are not going well, he's bound to make some bold decisions.
“Tsepo is quality and will always give you what you require as a coach, but he's human and will need some motivation and refreshment at some point. Maybe this is Steve's way of doing that.
“I do believe, though, that he will be back in the team soon because he's tried and tested and can handle any sort of challenge that comes about with playing for Chiefs in any kind of game, Steve will still need that.”
Komphela’s side now go into games against Maritzburg United and Free State Stars as they seek back-to-back wins for the first time since February, and following a solid performance on Wednesday, it remains to be seen whether Khumalo will be dropped to the bench on Saturday evening.
