Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Simba Sithole has been given a week to impress the SuperSport United coaching staff.
The Zimbabwean is hoping to make a return to the PSL for a second stint, following his unsuccessful spell at Chloorkop in his first attempt in South Africa.
The player’s agent, Gibson Mahachi, confirmed to the Siya crew that the player left Zimbabwe on Friday afternoon. “He is definitely leaving. I’m not sure when exactly his trial will start but he’s going to be there for one week and that’s all. He will be back on Friday,” said Mahachi.
The 22-year-old has been instrumental for Dynamos since joining the side. He helped the side as they won the league and cup double in the Zimbabwean Premier League.
“When Sundowns released him he came back and joined Dynamos. He played nine league games and scored nine goals. That boy is quality,” explained Mahachi.
SuperSport coach Gavin Hunt will keep a close eye on Sithole during his trial, to see if he can add value to the squad.
