The Siya crew can reveal that a return for former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Simba Sithole to the PSL is on the cards.
The Dynamos striker has been invited for a trial by SuperSport United and he is expected to join the club later this week. According to a source in Zimbabwe, Sithole will be in South Africa for a week where he will undergo a trial under the watchful eye of coach Gavin Hunt.
Our source added that Roderick Mutuma will also be in the country, to attend a trial with Bloemfontein Celtic.
“He, together with Roderick Mutuma, are supposed to leave this week for trials in South Africa. Mutuma is going to Bloemfontein Celtic and Sithole to SuperSport United. I am not sure what will happen as both have been registered for (CAF) Champions League this year,” said the source.
Dynamos vice chairman Webster Chikengezha said that the club is aware of the interest, however explained that nothing has been finalised as of yet.
“We are waiting for official letters from the teams so that we know where the players are going. We don't have a problem with them going for trials.
“We want our players to realise their dreams of playing professional (football) outside Zimbabwe, so there is no problem with that,” Chikengezha said.
