Moroka Swallows General Manager Sipho Xulu says they are on a mission of hunting for a sponsor, as they try to change the club’s fortune following a poor season that saw the club finishing 13th on the log.
Speaking to the SABC, Xulu said the club was hoping to get a sponsor soon, adding that Swallows they will never be able to make it on their own.
The Birds lost their long term sponsor, Volkswagen, last December and the club struggled to sign quality players during the January transfer period and that resulted in Swallows narrowly missing relegation last season.
There are to reports that the club is on sale and that there has been interest to purchase it, however, Xulu said no one has approached the club’s board of directors with the intention to purchase Swallows.
"This is not the first time we here of people having bought or buying Moroka Swallows without finally reaching a position where the deals are concluded," concluded Xulu.
