Chiefs’ Top Scorer Back And Ready For Action
Kaizer Chiefs’ top scorer, Siphiwe Tshabalala, will return to full training at Naturena tomorrow after missing the last game due to a muscle strain.
The 32-year-old has bagged eight goals for the Amakhosi so far this season and is currently their top scorer in the Absa Premiership with seven goals in 23 games.
Having missed out during the 1-1 draw with Golden Arrows over the weekend, the midfield man will now be hoping to get back into Steve Komphela’s side as the club look to try and secure at least a top three spot.
Chiefs’ physiotherapist, David Milner, confirmed that ‘Shabba’ will return to training and it appears he will be ready to face Polokwane City this weekend.
Milner told the club’s official website, “The injury required some rest to heal properly. He has recovered now and will resume full training on Wednesday.”
The Glamour Boys were knocked out of the title race officially following the draw last weekend but will be eager to finish on a high as they begin their preparations for next season.
Komphela’s side will do battle with Polokwane at the Peter Mokaba Stadium at 18h00 on Saturday evening.
