Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Siphiwe Tshabalala, says that the Amakhosi can live with just earning a point from the Soweto Derby, adding that they’re now ready for Maritzburg United.
Tshabalala broke Lucky Lekgwathi’s record for the most PSL Soweto Derby appearances over the weekend as he made his 23rd appearance in the tie, however was unable to help his side claim victory on the day.
Now, as Chiefs look ahead to Wednesday night’s clash with Maritzburg United, ‘Shabba’ says that the Team of Choice won’t be easy to outsmart either.
Speaking on his own official website, the midfield man said, “It was a tough match with both sides trying their best to overcome the other. Ultimately no one could lend the finishing touch. Despite of the fact that we would have loved to take all the points home, the draw is a result we can live with.
“We are now focused on the next fixture against Maritzburg United on Wednesday. Steve Komphela’s side is another challenge that needs attention. It will not be easy to outsmart them at home, but the team is playing well and we are slowly building great momentum. The quest for glory continues.”
