Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Siphiwe Tshabalala, has urged the Amakhosi’s fans not to panic, despite their second defeat of the season against Maritzburg United last night.
Chiefs’ lead at the top of the PSL was cut to eight points last night as the Amakhosi lost to the Team of Choice, with Mamelodi Sundowns thrashing Polokwane City 5-0, however ‘Shabba’ is refusing to panic just yet and says the fans should do the same.
The 30-year-old told his personal website, “We are disappointed with the results from the match. This does not mean we should start panicking, both players and the supporters. No one is perfect and all big teams in any league lose games.
“What we really need to put in the back of our minds is the fact that all teams are now fighting to either win the league or survive relegation. This means all matches will be tough.
“For us it is back to the drawing board to fix minor glitches that stop us from getting the desired results. All is not lost. We will get it right.”
Chiefs’ next game will see them take on Raja Casablanca in Durban on Saturday afternoon.
