Siphiwe Tshabalala is back in training for Kaizer Chiefs after recovering from his knee operation.
Amakhosi have provided an injury update on their official website regarding four of their players - Camaldine Abraw, Erick Mathoho, Keagan Buchanan and Siphiwe Tshabalala.
Tshabalala will bring some relief after it was revealed that he has resumed full-training with the squad, despite not travelling with them ahead of their first Absa Premiership encounter against Bidvest Wits.
As reported by the Siya crew last month, the 31-year-old has progressed well in his recovery program after sustaining a knee injury which kept out of the preseason Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates.
Tshabalala now looks to be back on track to fight for his place in coach Steve Komphela’s squad in the new 2016/17 PSL campaign.
Chiefs have two away-fixtures this week. The Absa Premiership clash against the Clever Boys at the Bidvest Stadium tonight, followed by an MTN8 battle against the new-look Cape Town City, who will welcome Amakhosi to their new home ground on Friday, 26 August.
