Ntshangase Explains Slow Chiefs Start
Siphelele Ntshangase Has Explained His Slow Kaizer Chiefs Start
Siphelele Ntshangase says that he’s used to the way that Kaizer Chiefs play, and that that isn’t the reason why he’s had a relatively slow start at Naturena.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder joined the Glamour Boys earlier this year from Baroka FC, and many expected him to make an immediate impact at the club following his big move.
However, ‘Stash’ has only managed to make two starts in all competitions under Steve Komphela, and is yet to register a goal or assist in any of his first seven appearances for the club.
Now, as he prepares for the possibility of making his Soweto Derby debut this weekend, the former Black Leopards man says that he’s excited at the prospect of playing in such a big game.
He told the club’s official website, “I can’t wait to be part of the Soweto Derby. I will make the most of the chance if given, I will go beyond just doing my job.
“I am used to the way Chiefs play, that’s not the problem, but I have been struggling a bit with consistency. That’s mainly because Chiefs are such a big club which comes with huge responsibilities.”
Ntshangase is one of several players who could play in their first Soweto Derby this weekend, with the game due to get underway on Saturday at 15h30.
