Cape Town City have ruled out any talk of a move away from the club for one of their strikers.
In the past weeks, it appeared that Siphelele Mthembu’s future with City was up in the air, as the club made no official confirmation about whether or not they will be extending his stay in the Mother City.

The 31-year-old’s contract with City was set to come to an end on June 30, however, the club’s chairman, John Comitis has since confirmed to the Siya crew that the player will remain at the club for another season.
“We took the option two months ago, he isn’t going anywhere, he is a big part of our success,” Comitis told the Siya crew.
Mthembu tallied six goals and two assists in all competitions for the Citizens in his first season at the club where he made 29 appearances.
Now, as City prepare to bolster their squad for the new season once the transfer window opens, it has been confirmed that they will be holding on to Mthembu’s services.
