The Chilli Boys are yet to win under Middendorp this year. The side lost 2-0 in their league game against Ajax Cape Town in the Mother City on Friday.
Chippa lost 2-1 to the University of Pretoria and drew 1-1 with Maritzburg United in the other two games played by the side under the former Kaizer Chiefs coach earlier this year.
The side has collected just one point out of a possible nine in their three games so far this year. Chippa were recently knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by Natal United from the ABC Motsepe League.
“It’s a matter of time. They (Chippa players) will get used to the system of the coach (Middendorp). They are professionals and they have to adapt to any formation or tactics of the coach. They have an experienced coach. They have an international coach, so they have to adapt.
"It’s not only Chippa (that is struggling with form). There are other clubs. If you look at Maritzburg, for example, they haven’t been getting good results. Chippa aren’t the only ones. I think they will come right,” said Sikhakhane.
Chippa’s next game will be against Kostadin Papic’s Polokwane City.
