Wits' outstanding central midfielder, Sibusiso Vilakazi, has revealed he won't let thoughts of a possible move to Europe distract him from the job he has to do for the Clever Boys.
The 24-year-old was recently on a week-long trial in Denmark with Danish giants, Brondby IF, and reportedly impressed the 10-time Danish champions. It's led to strong speculation that a deal could happen for the player to move to the club at the end of the 2013/14 campaign.
Nevertheless, the Students' skipper has emphasised how focused he is to make sure he keeps performing well for Wits in the PSL. The Bafana Bafana international has been enjoying a sterling season for both club and country, and will no doubt want to finish it on a high.
Vilakazi told the Siya crew, "At the moment we've got a good thing going on for the team. We've all been able to put the team where it is right now. Going to Europe is a big opportunity but if it doesn't come, I'll keep going with the team here. The situation that we have is that we're third in the PSL. That's my total focus right now. Obviously, I'm the captain and I have to lead the team very well. The total focus for me is with Wits, and to win one of the trophies that are remaining."
Wits' next game is against Black Aces on Saturday (April 5) in Mpumalanga.
Action gets underway from 15h00.
