Chiefs v Gaxa Postponed… Again
Former Kaizer Chiefs defender, Siboniso Gaxa, will have to wait around another month to finalise his dispute with the Amakhosi after the case was postponed again.
The two parties were due to meet in the Dispute Resolutions Chamber yesterday to discuss the apparent unfair dismissal of the 32-year-old, with Chiefs announcing his release at the end of the season despite previously confirming a new two-year deal.
It was revealed shortly after Chiefs’ announcement that they would not be renewing Gaxa’s contract that his representatives would be taking the legal route in order to finalise the matter, although it is taking longer than expected.
Gaxa versus Chiefs was one of many cases set to go before the DRC yesterday, however, there were a lot of hearings on the roll ahead of it, and by the time it was scheduled there was not enough time for it be heard.
Following that agreement, it has now been postponed until mid-September, with the player having to put his career on hold until the matter is finalised.
