SA Starlet Completes Overseas Loan

Sibongakonke Mbatha Has Completed A Loan Move To ATK In India

The talented South African midfielder, Sibongakonke Mbatha, will have a new challenge for the next few months after securing a loan move to ATK.

The 20-year-old joined Platinum Stars at the start of the season but has only been given one start in 2018 so far and in an attempt to find regular game-time elsewhere has sought a new pasture on loan.

ATK, former Atletico de Kolkata, are believed to have been monitoring the South African international closely ever since his impressive performances at the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2015.

According to Siya sources, Mbatha has now completed a loan move to ATK until the end of the season, and could well make his debut on Friday night against Delhi Dynamos. The midfield man is highly rated having represented Mzansi at many levels, including at the COSAFA Cup last year.

Mbatha joins the likes of the former Real Betis defender, Jordi Figueras, and ex-Newcastle United man, Ryan Taylor, at the club as they look to try and finish the season on a high.
