Mpumalanga Black Aces have made their intentions of gaining promotion to the PSL clear, after concluding a deal with Diyo Sibisi.
The 30-year-old former Mamelodi Sundowns man has agreed to and penned a six-month loan deal with the NFD outfit. Sibisi spent the first round of the 2012/13 campaign at the University of Pretoria, however the player struggled for playing time under coach Steve Barker.
He is now hoping to resurrect his career at Aces under Jacob Sakala, after making two league starts for Tuks. The player’s contract with Tuks is set to expire in June, having signed a one-year deal when he joined at the beginning of the season.
“The boy has signed for Aces. I just spoke to him now and he told me that he signed for six months until the end of the season. It’s going to be a good move for him and the club because they want promotion to the PSL,” said a Soccer-Laduma source.
Sibisi is a vastly experienced striker whose signing will be a huge boost to the club’s aspirations. He has played for a number of clubs during his career, including the likes of former Ajax Cape Town, Maritzburg United, Free State Stars and Sundowns.
